Dr Kate graduated as a vet from the University of Sydney in 1988 and has worked extensively in Australia and abroad. Her skills at diagnosis, communicating possible treatment options, and a genuine empathy with the patients under her care has gained her a loyal following over the years. Her experience in Veterinary Practice is considerable, having first worked in a busy rural mixed Practice, moving to a highly respected Sydney Hospital and then abroad to the UK, where she experienced a varied and stimulating caseload in both the local RSPCA Clinic and a large city Practice.
Dr Kate understands that every case is unique. Her goal is to offer sound advice in a professional and yet sensitive fashion to ensure the best possible outcome for clients and their pets.
In her spare time, Kate enjoys photographing wildlife and searching for truffles at a local farm with her dog, Hepburn.
Since graduation from the University of Sydney School of Veterinary Science in 2014, Dr Nicole has established herself on the South Coast of NSW. Her caring attitude and determination to solve the problems that pets present with makes her a very popular vet. Dr Nicole has a keen interest in small animal medicine, surgery, wildlife, as well as treating exotic and pocket pets.
Nicole’s home menagerie includes a Neapolitan Mastiff and a Boxer, three cats, guinea pigs and frogs! She enjoys local cafes and a relaxed coastal lifstyle.
Dr Elisabeth graduated with first class honours from the University of Sydney in 2017 and joined the Montague Vets team in March 2018. She spent several years doing research on cardiac CT scanning in dogs and has completed internships across Australia and New Zealand. Previously a vet nurse at a busy specialist referral hospital in Sydney, she empathises with animals and people from all walks of life and aims to always provide the highest quality care and best advice possible.
Martyn is our Receptionist and will greet you when you arrive with a warm and welcoming smile. He can help you choose the right medication to protect your pet against parasites, or lend a sympathetic ear. If you are looking for a special product or food, Martyn will usually be able to order it in for you by the next day.
Martyn and Kate are kept in check by their rescue cat, Miss Kali and Australian Koolie dogs, Hepburn and Leeloo.
Jenny joined us in November 2014 after moving to the area from Nowra. She is our Senior Veterinary Nurse, with over 20 years’ experience. Jenny holds her Certificate in Veterinary Nursing and a Diploma in Veterinary Practice Management.
Jenny has always been passionate about caring for animals and has an interest in surgical nursing and Radiology. At home Jenny cares for her dog, ‘Chino’.
Sheree joined the team in April 2016, having worked locally as a veterinary nurse for over 10 years. She is also an experienced groomer and has a special interest in dog behaviour, especially that of working breeds.
Sheree is a registered breeder of Australian Koolies and is devoted to improving the genetic health of the breed. Sheree shares her hobby farm with a variety of pets, including her favourite cat, Smooey and Koolie, Mav.
Di is one of our receptionists – she is cheerful and compassionate, and really cares about you and your pets.
Away from work, she is busy keeping bees and tending to the needs of her very spoilt rescue greyhound, BeBe.
Julie joined the team in May 2024. Originally from France, she is currently training to become a vet nurse. She has an extensive experience with small and large animals, more specifically horses. She is a certified horse trainer and horse trail guide.
Julie obtained her diploma as a facilitator in equine experiential learning in America and provides these services in Narooma. She is passionate about her work and providing the best care for both humans and animals.
Millie is our junior who enthusiastically cleans and organises the hospital supplies. She has been with us since 2022.
A keen sports player and all round academic, Millie intends to study veterinary medicine.
